Chapter 285: Shopping, Coincidence
"Mhfff…Haaah…"
Erix pushed aside Elina who was above him, and got up.
After cleaning himself, he left the room and met up with Rin, Lilith, and Aria one hundred kilometers away at a deep gorge with a raging river below.
There were other people there, but not alive.
"They sent eleven people this time?" Erix was startled upon seeing the number of dead bodies.
"One Empyrean-order for me," Lilith rolled her eyes. "As if that could be enough, especially after I just got a direct boost in my soul."
"Haha, I doubt they will send more hunters anymore," Rin chuckled. "It\'s not like they got a factory that can produce Empyrean-order hunters."
"But they didn\'t hold back on Royal-order hunters," Aria pursed her lips, softly sighing. "They so badly want to kill us."
"And too bad they can\'t," Lilith smiled. "Alright, let\'s go. Our break time is small, so let\'s finish the shopping. I also got a message from that staff lady. It seems that the guy who brought those pearls is going to sell them back."
"So the only thing left is to leave and get a Death Root?" Erix grinned. "Great."
"Come, let\'s directly teleport to the city, haha. I can easily do that now," Erix snapped his finger, marking Lilith, Rin, and Aria before they vanished and directly appeared at the city\'s silver square plaza.
"I can mark a location and directly teleport there. I don\'t know the limit of the range, but as you can see, 100 kilometers is easy."
"But it costs more Prana for longer distance as usual. This teleportation cost me 1000 Prana," Erix added.
"If you can properly utilize this application of space and turn it into a bonafide skill, it would cost less Prana and have more effectiveness," Lilith smiled.
"Yep. I\'ll create one later when we start focusing on creating skills."
…
First, everyone went to a prominent skill store and bought passive skills.
Rin, Erix, and Aria bought five Tier-5 passive skills each, overhauling their previous set.
Although they still bought the passive skills that granted them raw stats as they wanted, the Tier-4 and Tier-5 passive skills were also inherently different.
Each of the Tier-5 passive skills that gave raw stats also gave a passive effect related to \'stats\' due to Prana and advanced magic.
One of them was Strength Mass. This passive skill increased Erix\'s Strength stat by 300, along with the effect of giving more condensed mass to his muscles.
Having more condensed mass meant he could consume more stamina and exert higher power from his Strength stat.
The increase in physical power was related to his exertion and extra stamina consumption.
All Tier-5 passive skills giving raw stats had those types of passive effects according to each Stat.
After buying the skills, Lilith decided something new with Erix\'s Metal Nexus.
Having reached the 4th realm due to that sudden epiphany and enlightenment state, Erix had a good amount of stock of exotic Metals.
So, instead of buying armor sets directly, Lilith decided to custom-make armor sets using Erix\'s unique Metals as one of the main materials.
They went to buy materials and then to a famous Magsmith association to put their custom armor set orders.
Erix had exotic materials of most types of attributes, so the core material would give specialized effects suitable to them.
For Rin, it would be Lightning and Wind.
Aria was getting more proficient in Wood, Water, and Earth, so Erix gave Aebark Lum Metal, which had attributes of those three elements.
Lilith didn\'t need armor but a new umbrella of her choice, so after putting in their custom armor-set orders, the group went to another craft association specialized in crafting weapons.
There, Rin, Aria, and Erix also made a custom order for weapons.
Erix even had a Metal with Death attribute due to his affinity, which he could use to affect his Metal Nexus and cause it to produce a Death-attributed metal in his Metal World. He produced a few of such, but only two above Tier-5.
There weren\'t any Space-attributed metals at Tier-5, but Erix had put some work into that too and hoped the next metal to produce would be a Tier-5 space-attributed metal.
After they were done with custom orders, the group finally went to the Ingredient store.
When they went upstairs, they heard someone haggling with the manager about the price.
"There are no more stocks in the market for these pearls because I bought them all. It will take a few months to get more, and their price has also increased, so buy with that increase I added or forget about it."
"Sir, you are asking for too much. A 30% increase is the same as the current max market price. We can\'t buy it at that rate."
The staff lady said and soon saw Erix and others arriving before smiling, "Welcome back. I am just in the middle of buying back those pearls."
"So, this gentleman is the one who wanted to gift that necklace to Runia?" Erix raised his eyebrows and soon saw the man turning his head to look at them.
"Yes." the manager nodded with a polite smile and turned to Hamsimp, "If you want the current market price, then you can sell one to them directly, but our shop will only take up to 20% increase from you, Mr. Hamsimp."
"Wait, what did you say?" Rin picked her ears. "Hamsimp? His name is Hamsimp?"
"Yes."
Rin and Erix couldn\'t hold back their laughter.
Erix walked towards him and patted his shoulder while holding back his laughter, but a smile was still present on his face as he said, "Forget about Runia. She is not good for health."
"You two are pretty famous," Hamsimp grunted and narrowed his eyes as he looked at Rin and Erix, "I\'ve forgotten about Runia. If you want these pearls, I\'ll sell them to you at the current market price."
"I only want one," Erix said and laughed. "Also, how about you take a better name?"
"What\'s wrong with my name?" Hamsimp frowned.
"Eh, nothing wrong, but Hamson sounds better. What do you say?" Erix grinned.
"That does sound better, and I also wanted to change my name after leaving," Hamsimp muttered. Shaking his head, he wryly said, "Whatever. Give me the money and take the pearl."
After saying that, he turned to the manager, "Here, the rest of the pearls. Let\'s go with your deal, but give me a bonus according to you."
"Good decision, sir."
After buying the Vibrant Virisal Pearl, the group left.
"Why did that name make you laugh?" Aria curiously asked.
"Is it related to another term in your world like sugar mommy?" Lilith asked with a chuckle.
"The word is Simp. As for its meaning, that guy was a live example of it," Rin said.
"He was trying too hard to get her attention and affection, despite knowing deep down she would reject him."
"Oh…"
Lilith and Aria understood.
Meanwhile, Hamsimp returned to the mansion and returned the money to his elder brother.
"I am leaving. I probably won\'t ever return here because I want to start a new life. I\'ll also leave Abyss on my own."
"What? Are you serious?!"
"I am serious. And one more thing. My name will be Hamson from now on. Tell father and mother about this because I don\'t want to say farewell to them."
"Uh, it\'s fine. I want to see how long it takes them to notice that you\'re gone."
"Fuck you. I am leaving."
"Have a good journey, brother."
